We create a uniquely hands-on business experience not offered by similar on-campus enterprises. Everyone joins our team with the opportunity to make coffee, create community, and develop the business. We offer students leadership roles in operations, human resources, marketing, finance, sustainability, and more. All Meantime baristas and executives balance work with being full-time UNC students.

  • Lan Vy Phan, CEO

    Lan Vy is a senior dual-majoring in Philosophy and Community & Global Public Health with a minor in Neuroscience. She is from Charlotte, NC. When Lan Vy is not at Meantime, she enjoys reading, thrifting, spending time in nature, and capturing memories on her film camera. Her favorite drink is an iced coconut matcha!

  • Caroline Hoyt and Sophia Karner, CMOs

    Caroline Hoyt and Sophia Karner are juniors from Sylva, NC and Whiteriver, AZ respectively. Sophia is dual majoring in studio art and art history. Her favorite drink is a quad shot over ice. Caroline is studying video journalism and creative non fiction with a minor in food studies. Her fav drink is blueberry matcha.
